Who we are
Hifz Lens is a digital Hifz diary and school management service. For school accounts, the madrasah or school is typically the data controller for pupil records, and Hifz Lens processes that data to provide the service. For demo enquiries submitted on this website, Hifz Lens is the controller of the enquiry details you send us.
Demo enquiries
If you submit a demo request, we store the details you provide (such as your name, email, institution, role and message), together with basic technical metadata such as IP address used for spam protection. We use this information to respond to your enquiry and for related administration. We ask for your agreement before storing a demo enquiry.
School account data
When a school uses Hifz Lens, we store programme data needed to operate the service, which may include student names and class membership, teacher and parent login accounts, lesson and homework records, attendance, points, revision progress, teacher notes shared with families, and school contact details provided by administrators.
Access is limited by role. Teachers and school administrators see the students in their school or classes. Students see their own records and may see classmate names on the class leaderboard. Parents see only their linked children’s records and leaderboard rows. Staff-only teacher notes are not shown to parents or students.
Children’s data
Hifz Lens is used by schools to record children’s educational progress. Schools decide which pupils and parent accounts to create, and should only share information with families in line with their own safeguarding and privacy policies.
Retention and your rights
Demo enquiries are kept for follow-up and administration for as long as needed to handle the enquiry. School account data is retained while the school uses the service and according to the school’s instructions when an account is closed or a pupil is removed.
